Sperry Tournament Champions 2024

NOAH Jaguars Varsity claimed the annual Sperry Tournament title on March 16, winning the final game 10-2 over Sperry. Consistent defense and timely hitting were the keys throughout the tournament, as NOAH hit a combined .333 through the 3-day tourney. (photo courtesy Brad Zimmerman)

NOAH Takes Lead and Never Looks Back in Title Game

NOAH Varsity took the tournament title tonight in Sperry, defeating Sperry 10-2 in the final game.

Junior Brett Rutledge earned the win on the mound, giving up just two hits and no earned runs through four innings, striking out four.

Junior catcher/third baseman Treyton Salyers provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading the offense with a 2-3 night and 2 RBIs.

NOAH captured the lead 3-1 in the bottom of the first inning, capitalized by a single from Rutledge followed by a triple in the left center gap from Salyers.

Junior Bray Harrison pitched one and one-third innings of shoutout ball in relief, allowing just one hit, striking out one, and walking one.

Harrison, Daniel Garner, and Salyers each collected two hits for NOAH.

NOAH’s defense proved solid through the tournament alongside clutch 2-out hitting.
