New Varsity Football Coach for 2018-19

The varsity NOAH football team experienced a wonderful season under first year head coach Daryl Johnson. The team finished 7-7 for the year playing a very tough schedule and took second place at the homeschool national championships (even though everyone knows we won that game if it weren’t for the zebras taking our points off the board). More important than the on field success was the Godly character that Coach Johnson instilled in the boys by honoring God through the game of football. As you can imagine, after such success in year 1, NOAH Football families were deeply disappointed to hear that Coach Johnson is stepping down as head coach as his son Trevor has decided to graduate a year early and start his journey in the full-time ministry. However, when the Lord calls one godly leader away, He is faithful to provide another in his stead. Coach Fred Sabatini has agreed to step up and become the varsity head coach of the NOAH Football program for the 2018 season!

Fred Sabatini – Better known as “Coach Sab”
Coach Sab’s sweetheart of 27 years is Michelle, whom he met his freshman year in college. The Sab’s have been homeschooling for the past 17 years, almost since “day-one”. Their five children have grown up in the NOAH program; Joe – 24, played NOAH Football and Baseball, went on to play college baseball at Baylor University and The Citadel. Jessica – 22, played Tennis and was a loyal Football Trainer, now married to Ben Beaver, NOAH Football and Baseball standout. Andrew – 20, played NOAH Baseball and Football, currently a Sophomore at OSU – Stillwater. Alanna – 17, plays NOAH Tennis and plans on attending ORU this summer. Christian – 15, plays NOAH Football and Baseball and desires to play at the next level after high school.
Prior to coming to Oklahoma Coach Sab…
  • Played HS Football at Craigmont HS, Memphis, TN
  • Played College Football at Western State Colorado University, Gunnison, CO
  • Coached High School Football at Boiling Springs HS in Spartanburg, SC and Heritage Christian School in Denver, CO
  • Coached Youth Football in the Aurora Youth League, CO
Since moving to Oklahoma, Coach Sab has……
  • Coached NOAH High School, Junior High and Elementary football for the past 10 years.
  • Served on the NOAH Board for five years, four of which he was the Board President.
Interesting Fact: Coach Sab’s father-in-law is retired College Hall of Fame coach Fisher DeBerry, 23 year Head Coach at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO
