NOAH Tennis
Varsity Tennis (Girls and Boys, 14-18)

    NOAH Tennis teams compete at the Varsity level fielding both girls and boys teams.  Our Spring Tennis teams compete against both public and private school teams in the Metro Tulsa Area. In addition to school tennis, many of our Jag tennis players participate in United States Tennis Association tennis matches and have state and regional USTA rankings.  We participate in the week long Metro Area Tennis Tournament each year which includes many of the local tennis teams.

2011 NOAH Fall Tennis Outreach

    NOAH provides Fall Tennis as an opportunity for students new to tennis to participate in tennis instruction in a relaxed environment.   For experienced tennis players, Fall Tennis is an excellent time to work on strokes as well as develop match strategies and tactics.

    NOAH’s Spring Tennis Program is our most competitive playing against local public and private schools. To this end, we use United States Tennis Association, USTA, grading standard, Level 2.5 as our benchmark.  Below is the definition from USTA;

A 2.5 Player is able to judge where the ball is going. Player can sustain a slow pace rally of several shots with someone of the same ability using both forehand and backhand sides and can volley with moderate success.  Player can keep score unassisted, can call own lines, can serve overhand from the baseline and has a basic understanding of the rules.

    If your student is below this level you are encouraged to participate in Fall Tennis as well as work with your student independently to prepare them Spring Tennis. We have found this approach provides your student with the best opportunity to succeed at tennis.
