The Jaguars extended
their win streak to six games with a win over Webster on a
cool, windy night at LaFortune Park. Webster started
the game with 3 up, 3 down. The Jags jumped ahead with 4
runs in the 1st inning and just kept adding runs to their
total every inning. Jebediah Penrod was 3 for 3, with 2
doubles, as well as scoring 3 times and stealing 2 bases.
Avery Penrod added a nice triple in the 2nd inning and also
had 2 stolen bases. Parker McDaniel had a single, a
double, and scored three times for the team. Joe Sabatini
had two hits, 3 RBIs and 2 stolen bases in the game for the
Jaguars.
Andrew Smith started for the Jags, striking out 4 of the 7
batters he faced before Isaac Chambers relieved in the top
of the 3rd. Chambers did a great job in his first relief
appearance this year. He gave up only 2 hits and allowed
only one unearned run and struck out 5 batters.

JV GAME vs Webster
Webster had to borrow NOAH Jaguar pitchers to throw against
the NOAH JV team because Webster had too many ineligible
players that couldn't play and they didn't have any pitchers
to use. NOAH Jaguar Andrew Smith started for the
Warriors and shut down the Jaguars 3 up, 3 down for the
first two innings. Jaguar Justin Leekley reached base on
a walk in the 3rd inning, advanced to 2nd on a passed ball,
then scored on a throwing error. That was the only run the
Jags were able to get
across the plate. Webster crossed two runners in the
2nd and added 3 more runs in the 3rd.
Justin Leekley was the starting pitcher for NOAH JV giving
up only 3 hits, 5 runs (only 2 were earned runs), and
striking out 3 Warriors. Josh Lay relieved in the 3rd and
finished the game for the Jags. He
gave up two singles and struck out 4 batters.
Andrew Smith pitched four innings for the Warriors. He
didn't allow a single hit, one unearned run was scored, and
he struck out 9 NOAH batters. NOAH Jaguar Jonathan
Dunbar finished out the pitching for the Warriors. He gave
up two walks but struck out 3 batters to leave the NOAH
runners stranded.
