NOAH Jaguars improve to 13-7 with win over Sand Springs JV.
The Sandites jumped to
a 1-0 lead after 2 singles in the top of the first inning.
The Jags answered with a run after each of the Penrod brothers
reached base with singles as Avery Penrod was able to score
on Parker McDaniel's double. The Sandites added another run
after two singles in the top of the 2nd. The Jags had two
runners reach base after a single and a walk but the inning
ended with a double play. The Sandites added to their lead
after their lead-off batter reached on an error and scored
on another error. The Jaguar bats took over in the 3rd
and after 5 singles, two walks, and a 2 run triple by
Sam Brownwood, the Jags lead 7-3. The Sandites were
put down in order, 1-2-3, in the 4th & 5th innings. The game
was called due to lightning after 4 1/2 innings with Jags
leading 7-3.
Jag players with two hits in the game: Avery Penrod,
Parker McDaniel, and Isaac Chambers.
Starting pitcher Austin Ervin pitched 3 good innings,
allowing 3 runs (1 earned), 4 hits and 4 strikeouts.
Andrew Smith relieved for the last two innings and struck
out 4 of the six batters he faced.

NOAH JV beat Sand Springs Freshmen Team, 5-2.
In the top of the 4th inning , the Sandites were able to get
three runners on base but none were able to score. The
Jags put up two runs in their half of the inning after 2
walks, an RBI for Logan Luttrell, and a single with an RBI
by Nathan Roper. Between the pitching of Josh Lay and
the Jag defense the Sandites were not able to score any runs
in the 5th or 6th innings. The Jags sent two more
runners across the plate in the 5th with two walks, RBI by
Luttrell and a single scoring the 2nd run by John Tyree.
They added a final run in the 6th inning after Logan reached
on a walk and scored on Zac Cox's single. The Sandites
had a runner reach on base on a walk, the next batter reach
on an error and a double scored them both but no more runs
came across and the Jags added another win!
