Tough loss against Metro Christian School

On a beautiful afternoon for baseball the Jaguars came out swinging.
They punched out 12 hits in the game including doubles by Austin
Ervin, John Tyree, a triple by Joe Sabatini and a homer by Avery
Penrod (his second homer of the year). Unfortunately, the Jags left 10
batters on base plus two batters that were tagged out between 3rd and
home plate.  Metro only had 5 singles in the game but took advantage
on some Jaguar fielding errors and went ahead by one run in the bottom
of the 6th. In the top of the 7th the Jags were able to get runners at
1st and 3rd with only one out but were unable to push any runs across
the plate.

Andrew Smith was the Jaguars starting pitcher allowing 3 runs, 2
earned, 4 hits and five strikeouts. John Tyree came in relief in the
bottom of the 5th with the score tied 3-3. He only allowed one hit,
but two runs were able to score - neither of them were earned runs.

Losing to Metro Patriots 3-5

The Jags were able to score 3 runs on only 3 hits but it wasn't enough
to beat the Patriots.  Brent Loomis and Erik Willis each hits doubles
in the top of the 5th inning and both came in to score. The Patriots
scored two runs in the 1st inning and three in the 3rd to record a W
for the Patriots.

Jonathan Dunbar started the game for the Jaguars giving up 2 runs and
3 hits. Josh Lay entered the 5 inning game in the 2nd inning. Due to
some defensive errors the Patriots scored 3 unearned runs in the 3rd.
Brent Loomis pitched the last inning giving up two singles but keeping
them from scoring any more runs.
