Lincoln Christian sweep doubleheader
Lincoln JV 12 NOAH JV 1,
In the first game the Jags managed only 3 hits, one was Chad
Weston's
triple scoring Jonathan Dunbar for the Jags only run. In the
4th
inning the Jags loaded the bases but couldn't bring any of
them home.
Jonathan Dunbar was the starting Jag pitcher. He gave up 4
hits,
allowing 6 runs, but none were earned. Brent Loomis relieved
in the
middle of the 3rd inning. He gave up 6 hits, allowed 6 runs,
with 3
being earned runs. Jonathan had 3 strike outs while Brent
had 2
strikeouts.
Lincoln JV 3 NOAH JV 2
The Jags hit four hits, two by Josh Lay. The scored one run
in the
first inning on a passed ball. The Bulldogs managed two runs
in the
bottom of the 2nd to go ahead 2-1. The Jags were able to get
a score
in the top of the 5th - tying the game. Unfortunately the
Bulldogs
answered with a run in the bottom of the 5th and secured
their 2nd win
of the day.
Joe Sabatini pitched the first three innings. He gave up
only 3 hits
and two earned runs. Josh Lay closed out the game for the
Jags only
allowing two hits and one earned run.
