The Jags faced off against Holland Hall on Monday night. The weather was much nicer than last month when the Dutch beat the Jaguars 7-0 on a very frigid night.  In the 2nd inning two Jags walked and then scored when Isaac hit a ball to shortstop and reached first base on an error.  A Dutch batter reached on an error and scored bringing the score to 2-1 in favor of the Jags.  In the fourth inning the Jag bats got rolling. Sam Brownwood reached on a walk, scored on Andrew Smith's double. Then Andrew scored on Avery Penrod's single. Jebediah Penrod hit a double and scored Avery to put the Jags ahead 5-1.  In the 6th inning the Dutchmen loaded the bases and their lead off batter hit a triple scoring 3 runners and then he scored on a single tying the game, 5-5.  In the 6th inning Isaac Chambers drew a walk and scored on Andrew Smith's triple. Andrew was able to come in to score as they had trouble getting the ball into the infield on time. Avery Penrod repeated Smith's triple and scoring on their fielding miscue bringing the score to 8-5.  Austin Ervin relieved in the 7th inning and shut down the Dutchmen to give the Jags their 7th win in a row and send them off to the Regional Home School World Series tournament in Plano, Texas.

John Tryee started on the mound for the Jaguars. He pitched three effective innings - not allowing any hits and striking out 6 batters. Sam Brownwood relieved in the 4th inning allowing 5 runs (4 earned)
but the Jag bats came through and secured the win. Austin Ervin relieved in the top of the 7th and shut down the Dutchmen in order.
