The Jags score two runs in the first inning, but then
let the Eagles score four runs in the bottom of the 1st
inning. The Jags started off big in the top of the 3rd
with an in the park home run by Jebediah Penrod and then
added 8 more runs on singles, hit batsmen, walks, and
fielding errors. Then in the top of the 4th they added
7 more runs on 3 singles, 6 walks, and a sacrifice fly
by Michael Newsome. The defense kept the Eagles from
scoring any more runs after the first inning.
Starting Brent Loomis was tagged for 4 earned runs in
the 1st inning, but settled down and with the help of
the Jag defense never let another run score. He allowed
5 hits (one double) and recorded 5 strike outs.
