In the top of the 2nd inning, John Tyree had a nice double and scored on
Michael Newsome's double giving the Jags a short lead of
1-0. The Warriors answer with two runs on 2 singles, sac
bunt, and a walk. One run scored on a wild pitch that
bounced on home plate and then sailed over the net into
dead ball territory advancing all runners. The Jags then
went on a roll and scored 2 more runs in the 3rd, 4 in
the 4th, 3 in the 5th and 3 more in the 6th. Joe
Sabatini added another double and had 4 RBIs in the
game. Michael Newsome was 3 for 3 as well as reaching on
a walk. Sam Brownwood went 3 for 4 and the team knocked
out 11 hits out of 28 at bats. For the 2nd time in two
days the Jags played an error free game.
Andrew Smith pitched the entire game allowing 2 earned
runs, 4 hits (one double), and recording 3 strikeouts.

TOURNAMENT HONORS
Austin Ervin was named Most Valuable Tournament Player
after his great pitching effort against Shiloh on Friday
as well as solid play during the tournament.
Jebediah Penrod was named to the All Tourney Team
recognizing his in the park home run, as well solid
offense and defense for the tournament.
Joe Sabatini was also named to the All Tourney Team
after contributing to the Jags wins, scoring 3 times in
the 2nd game, a double and 4 RBIs in the Championship as
well as solid defense for the Jags.
