Tulsa NOAH Jaguars advance with win over Baton Rouge
Patriots 16-5.
The Jags jumped out early with four runs courtesy of doubles
by Juniors Parker McDaniel and Justin Leekley and an RBI
single by Senior Michael Newsome. The Patriots got one run
on the board in the bottom of the 1st inning courtesy
of a hit and an error on a throw. After the Jags added five
more runs in the 2nd, Josh Lay came into pitch, relieving
starter Andrew Smith. Every inning the Jags added more and
more runs while the Patriots only got 4 more across.
Jebediah Penrod turned a great double play ending the 4th
inning. Parker McDaniel was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, and 4
RBIs. Justin Leekley also continued with his hot bat and had
2 doubles and 3 RBIs. Avery Penrod had two singles and
one RBI. Michael Newsome had one hit with a team high of 5
RBIs in the game! The Jaguars improve their record to
17-8.

The #14 Seed Jags will battle the #2 Seed West Houston
Thunder at 11:00 am on Saturday for a berth to the World
Series. The Thunder was the 2007 World Series
Runner-up.
