Cascia Hall Commandos shut-out
NOAH Jaguars 7-0 on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Dick LeMay
Field. The
Jags record is now 1-2 on the season.
Sammy Brownwood was the starting pitcher and took the loss. Brownwood
gave up 7 runs with only 2 being earned. John Tyree came in
relief for 2 1/3 innings. Tyree struck out 3, gave up 2 hits
and no runs.
The Jaguars only managed 5 singles and didn't advanced a
runner past first base as the Commando pitching was very
dominating.
The JV Jags edged the Cascia Hall JV 3-2. Starting
pitcher Brent Loomis pitched a good game, giving up 2 runs
(1 earned) through 4 innings. Andrew Smith pitched 3 innings
in relief and picked up the win. The two pitchers
combined to allow only 4 singles and struck out 11!
The JV Commandos took a 2-0 lead heading into the top
half of the 6th inning when Joe Sabatini stroked a 2-RBI
double to tie the game, knocking in Erik Willis and Logan
Luttrell. Chad Weston walked in the top of the 7th inning
and moved to 2nd on a passed ball. Nathan Roper moved
the runner over to 3rd base. Chad scored on an error
by the 3rd baseman to put the Jags up 3-2. Andrew
Smith then struck out the side in the bottom of the 7th
inning to give the Jags the W.
The NOAH Jaguars play at Okmulgee on Tuesday 3/11 at 4:00
p.m. JV plays at 6:00 p.m.
